Venezuela Falcon State Water Supply Project: DPG’s Collaboration and Project Role
Located in Falcon State, northern Venezuela, and led by the Venezuelan Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, the Venezuela Falcon State Water Supply Project addresses severe water scarcity in the arid region. It adopts a “dual-source complementary” approach (long-distance pressure pipelines + seawater RO), with a designed capacity of 200,000 m³/day, comprising four plants and 180 km of pipelines, serving 600,000 residents.
DPG’s Collaborative Role (Non-Contractor)
DeruMann Plantagenet GmbH (DPG), a German investment and development institution, participates as a project integration developer, compliance advisor, and financing party, working in close coordination with major Chinese SOEs such as CAMCE—this project being a typical example of their extensive overseas cooperation.
Project Integration & Investment Recommendation
DPG engages at the front end, recommending optimized green-low-carbon solutions and facilitating a hybrid financing structure of “Chinese buyer’s credit + European green capital” to diversify funding channels.
Cross-Jurisdictional Compliance Advisory
DPG provides dual compliance adaptation to Venezuelan regulations and European technical standards, ensuring critical electrical equipment and automation architectures meet IEC, CE, and European grid codes, thus providing a “standards passport” for Chinese equipment export and European capital access.
Chinese SOE Coordination
DPG and CAMCE have a long-standing partnership. DPG handles front-end development, compliance frameworks, and European financing introduction, while CAMCE executes the full EPC process. Their complementary strengths ensure high-quality project delivery.
